The world's second Ubuntu phone Meizu MX4: First impressions

The Meizu MX4 “Ubuntu Edition” will be released at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Compared to the quite low-end first Ubuntu Phone Aquaris, the Meizu MX4 “Ubuntu Edition” comes along with quite decent specifications such as a 5.36-inch 1080p display, a MediaTek MT6595 octa-core processor with 2GB RAM and a 20.7MP camera with dual LED.

After years of development, Cannonical is ready to debut Ubuntu on phone, and that phone will be Spanish BQ's mid-range Aquarius E4.5. The world's first Ubuntu phone will be made commercially available in Europe on Feburary 9th for €170 through a web store that will be announced on the @Ubuntu Twitter handles within the next week.

Ubuntu Touch utilizes the same core technologies as the Ubuntu Desktop, so applications designed for the latter platform run on the former and vice versa.
